WORKSHOP
Brush and Stencil with Fabric Paints
Lisa Cresson
Web Site
Explore emblishment using your favorite motif with freehand
brushstrokes on your second-hand and recycled favorite clothing or
footwear. Mix and match the abstract and realistic. Paint, brushes,
and some stencil materials will be provided to participants and some
pattern motifs to reorganize or copy. Workshop facilitator Lisa
Cresson has been exploring mixing traditional paint with digital
images and will provide an overview as to an approach to paint
emblishment which will last through the wear and wash process. On the
day of the workshop, there will be a resource guide for all who want
to pursue more on their own.
She started to paint around the age of five and since that time, Lisa
Cresson has been working with images as much as possible. Most
recently, she has taken her interest in digital images and Adobe
Photoshop, combining traditional materials with digital images on all
types of mediums and materials at www.ImageTransferArts.com. More
recently she has begun to collect the materials necessary to open a
custom leather shop where women can order the shoes they want;
especially the ubiquitus Cowboy boot. in vintage or Boho or 80-so
designs at www.RexKelly.org. She has a BFA from Southampton College
and nearly completed a MA in Art History-Museum Studies on scholarship
from the City College.
